The Concertino Elegiaco was written in 1983 for the 40th anniversary of the Detroit Chamber Music Society. It was subsequently performed in Ann Arbor, Michigan and at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. This is the first time it has been published in spite of very favourable reviews at the time.
