Tuneful with a lot of rhythmic verve and syncopation, this is a winner. With a second subject that you find yourself whistling all day and Mannheim-type crescendos, it has the lot. The exquisite slow movement is worthy of Mozart and the last gigue-like movement rounds of the symphony perfectly.
