Mozart: Et incarnatus est from K447 for soprano and orchestra

FE128                 wind and strings
completed by Annette Isserlis

Mozart left incomplete the Et incarnatus est in the Mass in C minor. From bar 19, where the voice enters, there are no string parts until after the cadenza in bar 113. Various completions have been attempted over the years many of which have been less than successful. Annette Isserlis gives this movement some idiomatic touches to complement the vocal part to full effect. It can be heard on the recording of the mass by John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists.
