Originally for 2 basset-horns and bassoon, this brief but but expressive Adagio is both good to play and instructional. The 2 upper parts are woven together canonically. It is not a strict canon throughout, however, and spotting where the canon comes in and out and is in inversion is fun and educational. A couple of chromatic passages are also included. Grade 3-4
