Zumsteeg: Concerto in A major for cello and orchestra

FE57             0200/2000 strings

Allegro; Andante molto; Rondo: Allegro

This lyrical concerto is a really good addition to the classical cello repertoire. Zumsteeg was one of the foremost exponents of the Lied in the generation before Schubert and it shows in the attractive tunefulness of this concerto. It is also very idiomatically written for the instrument as Zumsteeg studied the cello as a young man.
