Paxton: Concerto in G for cello and orchestra

This beautiful concerto is a real find. It is not mentioned in the works list for Paxton in the New Grove Dictionary of 1980, although Grove online does have it in the current works list. A set of parts was published in 1789 by G Goulding which form the basis for this edition. The Cello Concerto by Stephen Paxton can be heard on Cello Classics CC1021.
